Archaeological dig at Cooley
An archaeological dig that is currently taking place in Cooley by local and UK archaeologists. Through uncovering the past, they are attempting to establish the significance of the monastery overlooking Lough Foyle. There have been some exciting finds that tell us more about the significance of the Cooley site.
Talk on archaeological dig findings Thur 25th August 2016
On Thursday 25th August 2016 at 7pm there will be a talk in Carndonagh Library which will detail the findings of the survey. The talk will also discuss the recent work at Donagh Cross, Carndonagh.
